I'd join, except for the fact that I'm currently only proficient at JavaScript. I'd start -*test*-('")ing my C++ skills, but I don't have a compiler that actually works. I tried Borland, it's only for Windows. Sadly, my great work-to-be may go unnoticed

I'm not proficient in any programming language, and I still joined. Well, I'm learning C - made two simple programs, 1) to calculate solutions to quadratic equations, 2) to calculate factorial of a number.

Is C++ similar?

Other than that, I know just HTML/CSS and a specialized S2 - which is sort of programming language for customizing your LiveJournal...

Yes, it is somewhat. But one of the major differences is that C is more of a procedural language, but C++ is more of an object-oriented language.

Hey I don't know much about programming and I made the site.

It has a tutorials section to help you become proficient in other programing languages and any way it will make my site look better if it has more members.

Alright. I have the compiler now. Now, if I could just figure out how to compile something with this stupid thing, then I think I'd be all set.

What compiler are you using?

The mC++ or whatever one.

Normally compile is something like Ctrl + F4; Ctrl + F5 or Ctrl + F9

No, apparently it doesn't.

I know there were only two compilers there, CodeWarrior and the other one. Codewarrior isn't free, but the other one is. Apple's really not going to get much business with it if the compiler is hard to use.
