Well a few of you were discussing this, so I figured I'd make it a poll. Note that the result of this poll won't necessarily be what actually happens, I just want to know what you guys think.

There are merits and disadvantages to each. No matter which option however, you WILL still have to go through each phase to input the password. Seeing as this is the case, I personally am leaning towards the last option. Most of the phases will be solved exactly the same way. Those of you who have already solved them shouldn't have too much of a problem - with only some phases being completely reworked.

Note that some phases won't work no matter what (Phase 59 anyone?).
Anyway, enough of me talking - Discuss!

some phases will have to be modified or replaced, because simple transfer wouldn't work. but does it really make a difference to us whether the good ones have old or new answers, if the process is the same?

new answers wouldn't really mean new challenges, and changing all 100 of them would be a lot of work... so i guess it might be best to keep what you can and change the rest.

Though I'd be fine with either extreme, I'd prefer them to stay the same.

i agrees with other person (martina)
i am only on phase 28 (and waiting for jax to move me on*wink*) but what i have seen it would be hard to change all the phases from what i have seen and i can only imagine what the future phases look like

I vote that, since all the phases will have to be put in again by hand, that they are inspected while being put up a bit. In fact, if we ever get some -*test*-('")ers in there (wink.gif), they could look through the phases real quick and remember the ones that were built really wrong, and suggest a potential fix. But answers must remain the same, just in case Jax doesn't automatically bump us up to our own phase.

I think problem phases should be revised, but still have the same answers. This way you don't have to redo every phase, and if you do revise a phase, those of us that are ahead won't have to figure out the phase again. I remember lots of changes to the phase unlocking the help for the phases I'm on... that's annoying, in my opinion. tongue.gif

Actually, the loss of the current forum setup will actually probably mean that all the phases will have to be looked over at least quickly, since some of them reference topic IDs, post IDs, forum IDs, image names, etc.

If you'd like, once the phases are up, I'd be happy to go through them real fast and flag the ones I think might cause problems smile.gif

once i get by 28 *WINK WINK* i will be out of school and with nothing to do will spend hours per day working on the riddles and would not mind going through and "flaging" phases that are outa wack with and/or after matchu (2 minds=better then 1)

i do relize i have only been here for a lil more then 3 weeks (i think) but looking at the hints and tips i think i have gone through the phases so far in a faster pace them some of the others

by the way i loved phases 20-28 expecaily 28 (except the waiting)

My main hangup about basically having new pw's is the fact that we would all be down to ground zero once again. And I think the couple of us that are up at 100 shouldnt have to. But I would enjoy maybe redoing some for fun just to see if I can, but not having to do it all over again. I dont need another headache.

maybe a lil badge saying "compleated all 100 before the move" like it says now under ur name "compleated phase 100"

just a thought

...wonderful. It's a tie xD

Felix82- 06-05-2007
I will not do all 100 phases over again. I put so much time into that, at work, school, at home, other peoples houses, and even at church to finish. I will not do it again. Im sure you guys who are up to 75 after all that work dont wanna do it again.

Yeah if you are on 20 you can say it cause it doesnt matter, but get about 80 phases down the road and look back at how long it took and say yeah we can do it all over again.

^ the reason jax revises the problem phases and people like you -*test*-('") them quick

Felix82- 06-06-2007
Testing is fine and can be lots of fun but when it comes down to actually having to redo all the phases all over again....not fun.
