blink.gif A bit like exponential growth?

e.g.
1
2
4
8
16

In general, if you are on rank X, it takes more posts to reach rank X + 1 from X than it did to reach X from X - 1.

Pshh Showoff. [sarcasm]Ohhh look at me, I'm Maniac, I'm so clever. I'm gonna try and confuse Dave[/sarcasm]

Could you not have just said it like Duke did though?

lol thanks for the support.

Sort of, except it's not quite doubling. That'd get hard really quick.

And plus, that formula is obvious. It's saying it takes more posts to make the rank above you than the one below you. That doesn't help it at all.

kewl, i never knew this was here. tongue.gif biggrin.gif

Must say I appreciate the pip ranks being spelled out for us. Now I must go edit a stupid post in another thread asking about it...alas, editing posts won't up my count. Also, giving someone a smarter sounding title with their pip just because they post more is misleading, could be they just like to type alot. Ah, well, off to post gratuitously so I can stop being a Newbie... webriddler/hm.gif

Well, to be able to get enough posts without essentially being a spammer you have to be active, and the more active posters really need to have access to more places...

too true...

by active you mean online, reading all I have access to, or posting???
been active, read all I needed to, now reading all I don't need to unsure.gif
loving it... but feeling kinda stupid for draging things out after months...
but if that's the only way to get out of the newbie stage... webriddler/up.gif

It's ok to dig up old posts at the moment. Especially if you're new. Most of the initial phases are getting-to-know-you phases. Feel free to post wherever you like.
But try to keep on track.
Spamming consists of two-word answers or random stuff that doesn't belong in the thread.
