Well Web Riddler has finally reached 1000 members! And its pretty good timing too if you've been paying attention to the calendar. Last Sunday was Web Riddler's official anniversary but because of time constraints the planned Phase 100 couldn't go up. However, I'd probably push to say that April 8th is Web Riddler's true anniversary (this Saturday) because that is when the site was truely opened to the public. S0 expect the big triple figure on Saturday!

Happy Birthday Web Riddler! And thanks to all you guys for enjoying the site. We've already got our birthday gift of 1000 members and you can expect yours on Saturday.

Just so you know (and this is news to Maniac too ), we plan to pause the production of phases after Phase 100. That's a good number to get to (especially in just one year) but now we're going to focus on building the site a bit more. Bringing more members in, adding modifications to the site and making it all round better. I plan to push some of forumer's coders to the limits and maybe even try some stuff myself. No promises on any (let alone all) of this but here's a list of some of the things I plan to work on:

- More members
- Building the staff
- Polishing the site
(this will include going through ALL of the phases a number of times and fixing anything that needs it; eg. extra/less hints)
- Cleaning the site
- Making certain things clearly
(initial instructions, rules, etc)
- Allowing passwords for previous groups to be bypassed
(slim chance of this one but its one that you've been asking for so I plan to push the issue)
- Passworded user groups
(again another slim one but it will allow users to bypass some of the PM riddles)
- Probably others

If you have any requests please PM either myself or Maniac. We'd love to hear your feedback for the site. Simple issues or ones that multiple people request will be worked on. We'd like to make the site as great for you as you can! Also, expect some site polls over the coming weeks. We'd like to get a full overview of some of the issues that we know you guys talk about. We want to find out you opinions so keep your eyes open.

I highly doubt that whole user pw thing will work as you said. But you can always try it. And I will pm you some rule suggestions and a few ideas I have.

Whoohoo! I thought that after Phase 100 it would be done. That would be the end. Anyway, I can't wait until I get up there.

Heh, yeah. We've been planning this for a while.

It's very easy for me, the not-PHP coder, to remove the passwords for the forums for later usergroups. The problem is that they'd be seperate forums that don't have the replies in them. I'll help Jax with the tweaking as best I can.

I bet Felix will help where he can too! lol

Making new forums without the password and without the replies is easy.

Is it possible to edit the ACP that much on Forumer? On InvisionFree, I've got nothing that can do that...

But I am smart enough to use Javascript to make new tags!

There's probably a way. I wouldn't know about it though, this is the only forum I admin and I don't really know about the *really* technical stuff. I know how to use what's already there, and that's it. The colored pips were the most complex thing I've ever done.

And in reply to matchu, no, there is no way to modify the ACP, but they are many places that can be modified (through code) to change almost anything. Unfortuantely some of these mods need FTP access which forumer currently doesn't allow. We'll see though.
